About the author
Adrian Brown has worked as a consultant and advisor in both the public and private sectors. From 2002-2005 he served as an advisor to British Prime Minister Tony Blair, covering a wide range of policy areas including health and transport. Brown helped to develop the innovative performance management system used by the British government to improve public sector performance.

Before his government service, Brown was a consultant with McKinsey & Company, with clients in industries including financial services, retail, media, and transport.

Brown earned an MA in Management Studies and Physical Sciences from Cambridge University in England and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
